Vanquish rc pattern plane12/24/2023 I saw Bert Deleare fly it himself for his first contest flight, and later on Derk van der Vecht also flew it (outside the contest). As with the WindS 110, you can see where the glass and balsa parts come together, but not in a bad way. Both fuse and wings are balsa, the chin and cowl are fibreglass. The quality is identical of that of the WindS 110 sebart makes, which isn't that strange, since they come from the same factory and have the same kind of build. In real life, the Vanquish looks fine, as high a level of finish as you can get with an all-wood film covered plane. As engine he used a Hacker Q60, which appeared to fit out of the box and delivered more than enough power. However, also competing there was Bert Delaere, and he brought his Vanquish. Performed terribly, completele messed up all three flights :P I was attending at the Worldcup Contest at Sivry this weekend (int. I may have missed it but was the weight and kv of the Torque F3A motor listed in the thread somewhere?īefore I continue, please read the entire post carefully, before ordering a bomb-raid on my house Thanks Arch for sharing such great info and letting everyone try the plane. I will definitely keep my fingers crossed that the next shipment has lots of these with motors included. I am excited by the potential for this plane and feel certain that an inexpensive entry level ARF can only help in attracting some new interest in RC Pattern especially if the combo kit with motor and esc becomes readily available. What an awesome product! If this had been available when I started I could have saved thousands of dollars and would have made the jump to 2M at least a year earlier instead of trying an Inspire 90 first. what does a gallon of glow cost these day anyways I believe I could outfit a newbie with an electric Vanquish more cheaply and get that person flying WAY faster than anyone could ever get a glow engine purchased, mounted, tuned, and broken in.Į-Power Vanquish cost estimate for electric newbie:Īnd no buying gallon after gallon of glow fuel. for anyone new to RC or pattern I say the complete opposite: electric debate, BUT I hate to leave open ended remarks on the internet unchallenged that might give uninformed readers a negative impression of electric power. G - Please do not take this personally and honestly truly really I do not want to argue this here so if you want to respond to my response then please please send me a PM and let's start a new thread to have another glow vs. a beginner will be faster in the air with a Glow engine instead of messing around with esc, amps, chargers and batteries etc It will require a little straight forward surgery is all. Oh, and BTW if anybody is interested in a glow or gas conversion, the model can definitely take it. If they do, this model will surpass the Focus in acceptance by our little community I hope EF can maintain this level of quality and value long term. The value is terrific especially when you consider that the motor AND ESC are only another 350$. Let me put it this way.It doesn't fly like a 650$ plane but something that is much more expensive. The model would need to be trimmed out to my taste and I need to learn to fly electric, but even with the small amount of trimming Archie has done, it is close. The other guys were Dave Lockhart, Ed Alt and me. I know I have more into my VF3 than $650 just to get it to the point of being ready for motor and radio. I love to build but this thing changes the game, I don't think I could finish out an electric to that weight for the price. I didn't hear a single disparaging comment from anyone who flew it. It's very impressive to fly and well built. It's a very straight flying airplane, way better than my thumbs, and it isn't hurting for power. I had a chance to fly Arch's Vanquish today, as did a number of other guys.
